Meet the cupcakeMAG Team! Meet Tiffany!

Tiffany is a newlywed, stylist, writer and fashion junkie.   After graduating from The University of Georgia in 2006, she tried out commercial Real Estate for a few years, but decided she needed to return to her very first love: fashion.  Her first magazine subscription? Vogue. Favorite woman in the fashion industry? DVF.  #1 city to visit as much as possible? NYC!!!  Her style preferences could be described as a mixture between milder versions of Charlotte and Carrie.   She is usually battling the ongoing war of: “should I be comfortable?” or “should I suffer a little for fashion?”. In an ideal world, she’d get a manicure every other day, and have Starbucks delivered in the mornings.

Tiffany lives in Georgia with her husband, Charles, and dog, Bentley, and is thrilled to join the cupcakeMAG crew!

Meet the cupcakeMAG Team -- Contributing Writer, Kim!

Kim is beyond thrilled to be a new contributing writer for cupcakeMAG! She is a twenty something newlywed who was born in a small town in Georgia, but grew up in New England. Kim is the perfect mix of southern hospitality with a city chic attitude. 

Kim has had an interest in all things fashion since she was a little girl. Designer bags, chocolate and reality TV are her major weaknesses in life.  She is obsessed with Internet shopping, designer brands, and finding them at an amazing deal! Her style is pretty classic and traditional with the added bold accessory or pop of color to make an outfit complete.  Lover of anything pretty and pink! 

In addition to being a contributing writer for cupcakeMAG, Kim loves blogging on her personal blog daily about new recipes, shopping and is always making her readers aware of a good deal, or a fabulous new fashion find. She also works full time as a Senior Financial Analyst, is going to school for Photography, loves reading a good new book, traveling, and constantly re-decorating her home. Kim is one that thrives on being busy and involved, and loves to have her hands in anything creative!

Meet the team! Our newest cupcake -- Lauren Gonzalez!

Born in the north, but raised in the south Lauren Alexa Gonzalez, a new member to the cupcakeMAG crew, loves and appreciates where she's from and where she is now. She’s always known she’s wanted to write - but now, she knows exactly WHAT she wants to write about! She also has a passion for PR and graphic design and is constantly learning new things! Lauren is a student at The University of Florida majoring in Journalism, where she’s also become a representative for several retail brands on

campus - mixing her love of fashion and networking.

One of her favorite mottos to live by was said by Audrey Hepburn, "Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help

yourself, the second is to help others."

Meet our newest cupcake! Welcome Lindsey to cupcakeMAG!

We are so thrilled to introduce you to the newest memeber of team cupcake.....Lindsey! 

Lindsey Muth couldn't be more excited (seriously, her dial is set ALL the way to "excitement") to join cupcakeMAG & cupcakeMAG for Littles as a contributing writer.

 

A 30-something WAHM (work at home mom), Lindsey loves acronyms and splits her WAHM time living, wifing, and momming in Tucson, AZ; working in New York City; and traveling on business (sometimes to really cool places).

Lindsey's unique sense of style (let's call it desert rat soho chic) can be traced back to her punk rock youth, complete with shaved head and lip ring, and early twenties spent working in a fabric shop and scouting out vintage finds with every spare cent she could scrape up. Lindsey's fashion motto is, "unique, unique, unique, and a little classic." While finding affordable vintage treasures at the thrift store is among her favorite thrills, she also knows that sometimes it's ok to spend more for quality items ---> this has led to a passionate love/hate relationship with credit cards.

 

Lindsey's intense workout regime consists of eating much too much ice cream and then running around after her toddler son. She would probably die if it suddenly became illegal to wear your hair in a topknot.

cupcakeMAG retreat!

For those of you who follow ME (@cupcakeMAG) on Twitter - you most likely heard all about cupcakeMAG Retreat last weekend and our little biz get-a-way. My FABulous cupcakeMAG writer, Angela, brought us into her beautiful home and we spent the weekend crushin' over each other.

While we were away discussing the next steps & exciting things for cupcakeMAG - we also made time to relax, eat cupcakes and get to know each other. Our writers at cupcakeMAG work so hard and are just beyond amazing! So amazing, we had to share just what we learned about them this weekend! It was great to get to know my cupcakes even more! I love them so much I just had to share the love with you! Get to know them too! I am lucky to have such fabulous girls on my team.

Tracy, @sweetharper, and our NEWEST (yet to make her debut) writer! 

1. Believe it or not, she has never done karaoke.

2. Surprisingly, she is much taller in person.

3. On the side, Tracy should be a photographer. She LOVES to take pictures.

4.) Before this weekend, she never wore leopard - she was a leopard print virgin.

5.) This was her first trying picking crab legs & eating oysters!

1. She was my roomie. She hardly breathes when sleeping. I had to check her nostrils. 

2. Jenny isn't a fan of drama. 

3. She should be a DJ. She makes a mean mixed cd. 

4. Jenny could model - she was part of our photo shoot this weekend (way to see it all!)

5. She is a big fan of dance parties. In her underwear.

1. Ang was the perfect hostess for our perfect weekend.

Meet the newest contributor, amazing Candace!

Candace Cabrera Moore is honored to join the cupcakeMAG team to help cover New York fashion week.

Born and raised in New England, Candace has always loved New York City and its 'anything goes' attitude when it comes to fashion.

Candace has always been interested in fashion. She loves clothing that is versatile and takes her from day to night with the addition of a few bold accessories. She is a self- proclaimed 'frugalista' and likes to keep an eye on sales and hunt for coupon codes to score the best deals.  Her mom owned a consignment boutique for over ten years which helped influence her frugal approach to shopping and an appreciation for  inding hidden gems in thrift stores.

Other interests including working out, healthy eating, reading and writing.  She lives with her husband and their two dogs.

Danielle, the owner and buyer for Shop Dandy and the editor of Just Dandy has years of experience styling and working fashion photo shoots. With a background of a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Interiors and Textiles she has worked in many different fields that has set her skills apart from others. She worked in retail which has taught her the basics of running and managing a store. She served as a design coordinator for a large home builder and it opened and trained her eye for color and design. Most recently she serves as a head and assistant buyer for very successful boutique. As you can see Danielle loves fashion. It is just contagious for her! We were so happy to sit down and chat with Danielle to get to know more about HER.

meet the cupcakeMAG {intern} Laura!

Laura resides in New Mexico and has an identical twin sister Lourdes that loves fashion as much as her. Laura has always had an interest in fashion. She took her first fashion design class while in high school and immediately fell in love with the creative process. She knew that fashion was the career for her. Laura loves fashion, reading and writing.

She decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree at New Mexico State University where she majored in Clothing, Textiles, and Fashion Merchandising. During her college career she was an active member of the Student Association of Fashion Merchandising and Marketing (SAFMM). Within three years she went from member, Co-Vice President to President. As President of SAFMM she coordinated and directed fashion shows. After graduation she landed an internship with a style website where she was contributing editor. She then decided to co-create two blogs dedicated to style and green fashion. She is now pursuing a Masters degree in Fashion at the Academy of Art University.

When Laura isn’t busy with school she loves to blog about fashion, sketch, read magazines, fashion books and chick-lit novels.

Angela Parks our newest member of cupcakeMAG is all about being a Bargain Fashionista. She wasn't born with a silver spoon, but certainly had taste as if she were. Because of this revelation, Angela had to find creative and Innovative ways to bare the baubles, clothes & accessories she craved.

Self professed "Internet Shopping Queen", Angela always scores the items she covets at a fraction of retail cost. Better yet, she wants to share these finds with you and also teach you how to find these delightful items on your budget.

Angela is married to a Navy Pilot and is also a Mother to two beautiful girls. In addition, she works as a stylist for a contemporary Christian music label and owns an online personalized children's boutique as well; which keeps her very busy - BUT never too busy to get her shop-on.

Just recently we all have been getting to know the cupcakeMAG team and many of you are asking more about me, the cupcakeMAG editor. So, I have decided to let you take a peek inside my life and get to know me upclose & personal.

1. I can't go to sleep with the tv on. I must have complete dark & silence.

2. I still Tivo Friends even thoght I have the complete series on DVD.

3. Every week I pick up all the weeklies, Ok!, UsWeekly, People, InTouch, Life&Style - it is a must.

4. I am anal, for example, my couch pillows have to be placed a certain way.

5. My youngest daughter, Kennadi Audrey Monroe, was indeead names after 3 Hollywood Fashion Icons. Jackie Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe.

6. Before cupcakeMAG, I managed, did inventory, & buying for a high-end boutique Sugar in Washington, DC - the store was my life & I still miss it daily.

7. I absolutely adore Toaster Strudels.

8. When I go to NY the first thing I do is buy a soft pretzel from a vendor.

9. Before boarding an airplane I spend at least $50 on magazines as the newsstand. I can't fly without the newest mags on the shelf.

10. I still get sucked into watching Saved by the Bell & Full House with my 7 year old. Sometimes, I even sit through an episode willingly by myself. Shhhh, its a secret.

11. Before I knew my husband would be my husband - I made fun of him & thought he was a big dork for buying me a Pepsi before class every day in high-school.

12. I despise sushi, despise it.

13. When I met J.Alexander from Americas Next Top Model, he made fun of me for being short and put his elbow on my head. I am only 5 feet tall.

14. My name is pronounced KC - even though it is spelled like Cassie. I never correct anyone I am so used to it.

15. I can only snap with my right hand. No double snapping here!

16.I hate drinking water. I know, its bad but I always forget to drink it unless it is in a Fiji bottle.

17. My dogs sometimes push my hubs out of bed.

18. I love football and am a big fan of the Washington Redskins since I was born in Washington, DC. I have never missed a game!

19. I hate beans. I always say I am allergic.

20. I don't drink coffee unless it is a Starbucks Caramel Frapp. Diet Coke is my coffee every am.

21. If I could I would pick up and move to Beverly Hills. I am a California girl at heart and obsessed with LA.

22. I secretly would love to be Martha Stewart.Cooking, crafts and party planning -- three of my favorite things!

23. I absolutely LOVE playing Monopoly and get really upset if I can't buy Boardwalk.

24. I only eat French toast with cottage cheese on it. Yes, it's a polish thing. 

25. My biggest fear is dying. Can't talk about it, can't think about it. Just don't like the fact that I don't have control.
