NYFW Day One: Luca Luca

What: Luca Luca Fall/Winter 2011 Collection
When: Thursday Feb. 10th, 3pm
Where: Lincoln Center, The Stage

Spotted Front Row: Petra Nemcova and Tinsley Mortimer

Creative Director Raul Melgoza debuted LUCA LUCA’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection at New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. Melgoza’s collection is inspired by the adventures to be discovered in the deep woods—the beauty, the color, the fantasy. Raul has created a sophisticated forest-inspired look by juxtaposing fabrics such as leather, suede and lace to create texture and dimension.

{THE SHOW!}

Minus the many black evening dresses, Raul wasn't afraid to play with color. Models strutted the runway in bright looks. We saw lots of contrasting fabrics like brocade tops paired with lace skirts and leather pieces in fall hues. This Fall the Luca Luca lady is sophisticated and chic but not afraid to play with color. We got a great sense of warmth on this freezing cold day!

Day One NYFW: BCBGMAXAZRIA

Where: BCBGMAXAZRIA
When: Thursday, Feb. 10th, 10AM
Where: The Theatre

Spotted Front Row: Taraji P. Henson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Katrina Bowden and Ashanti

One thing you couldn't miss was lots of layers in Max Azria's Fall 2011 collection at Lincoln Center. Draped skirts, pockets with plenty of room give the "desire for simplicity" as he states. Almost every look had one thing in common - a white bodysuit layered underneath. However, we enjoyed the mix and match pieces that can easily transition to many seasons. Oh, and we adore the easy dresses -- he gave a girl plenty of options!

Day One NYFW: The NEW designers on the runway, Porter Grey!

What: Porter Grey
When: Thursday, February 10, 9:30-10:30AM
Where: Lincoln Center, The Box

We are {loving} the new Porter Grey collection especially for those who shop Urban Outiftters style with a little Anthropology mix. Military button details we love, wedge ankle boots, cut-outs, and florals with classic silhouettes and edgy style. Tailored separates were key pieces we adore in the collection.
